Update:

The Second Chance Institute. Through research and good practice, we have found that working daily with men on individual and relationship fundamentals increases success rates, but the greatest change and potential for long term success, is found within the heart of a new Christian believer. With this, one of our long term goals is to open the Second Chance Institute, which will include classrooms and transitional housing, along with farm and trade programs.

We have more prison facilities in the United States than any other country. 2.3 million people are incarcerated in the U.S. Russia is second.

Life and Liberty Center is currently doing research with affiliated partnerships on the practice of solitary confinement and special management units in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The team will be updating the resource page with news soon.

2016 and Beyond!

There is hope! With over 30 years involved in Corrections, we are researching proven ways to create a safer place for returning male inmates to the community. In this, we work to provide a structured environment where they will be able to grow in self government which offers true life and liberty. Inmates suffer unprecedented trauma in the Correctional System. Limited resources have left inmates without adequate counsel and help. Our mission is to be part of the healing process. We stand in the gap.

The Life and Liberty Center works to help in the transformation of the lives of prisoners, ex-offenders, and their families through education and proven faith based solutions. The central focus and mission works to facilitate the following benefits to the community:

To reduce the rate of recidivism and the impact of crime on families and victims

To increase the potential for offenders to become contributing members of society

To help produce change and rehabilitation inside and outside the prison walls

To advance reconciliation and guidance for family and friends

To provide a platform and resources to offenders while in the transition process

To develop partnerships within the community in an effort to advance the overall mission
